Will Trump Start a War So He Can Cancel the 2028 election?

He may borrow the idea from Zelenskyy

So, while European leaders were posturing for Putin’s benefit (you can read about it here), Dictator Trump was apparently having a lightbulb moment. Ya know, where someone gets a great idea and a lightbulb goes on over their head.

Yeah, seems he was talking to Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy about the lack of elections in Ukraine while the war with Russia is going on. Zelenskyy assured him that once the war was over, there would be elections once more.

But Dictator Trump was more enamored with the idea of having no elections while there is a war going on. Buzzfeed quotes him as saying:

“Three and a half years from now, if we happen to be in a war with somebody, no more elections. Oh, that’s good.”

Good for whom? The poor slobs on the front lines giving their lives so that a moron with orange makeup and a bad combover doesn’t have to face an election? So he can just stay in office indefinitely?

Sorry, but that’s not how it works here in the good ol’ USA. We have elections no matter what. Lincoln was reelected during a civil war. Roosevelt served four terms through a depression and a world war.
